MA Attorney General Highlights Proposed Foreclosure Prevention Law
Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley has again emphasized her support for a proposed law to help struggling Massachusetts homeowners avoid unnecessary foreclosures, this time at a real estate convention.
Recent bank scandals involving forged documents, along with government reports highlighting the failure of banks to comply with loan modification guidelines, have highlighted the need for proactive involvement at the state level to address the foreclosure crisis. The act is called An Act to Prevent Unreasonable and Unnecessary Foreclosures.
